When you become a student in Belgium, there’s one thing you quickly discover: student packs. The idea is simple — receiving a free pack filled with products, drinks, snacks, discounts and goodies specially made for students.
The most popular ones are organised by Guido, a Belgian student platform that is very well known among universities and colleges. Several times a year, Guido organises free student pack distributions all around Belgium, and many students look forward to them every time.
At HEPL, there is usually a first student pack distributed at the beginning of the academic year. But there is also a spring edition, often filled with new drinks to try, snacks, free samples and discount vouchers.
The concept is very simple: you just need to register online and choose one of the available pickup points to collect your pack for free. Once there, you leave with a bag full of products to discover.
Most of the time, the packs mainly contain drinks, food products, snacks, discounts for different brands and a few student goodies.
Of course, it’s not exactly “an essential part” of student life… but honestly, getting lots of free things to try is always nice. And between students, Guido pack distributions quickly become a small event where everyone compares what they received.
For many Erasmus students, it’s also a fun way to discover products they would probably never find in their own country.
